We run 5N/6D through 8N/9D Kashmir packages, and every one comes with a fixed land price, a verified hotel or houseboat, private cab transfers, and 24/7 on-ground support. Our lean 5N/6D packages start at KWD 165–210 per person (roughly ₹50,000–64,000), which comfortably covers Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Our most-booked bracket — the 7N/8D route most families and honeymooners pick, adding Sonmarg — runs roughly KWD 245 to 390 per person. If you want a private vehicle throughout, curated add-ons and a premium houseboat night, our luxury tier starts around KWD 650 and can be built out well beyond that depending on hotel category. Your exact fare depends on travel dates, hotel category and group size — international flights from Kuwait to Delhi and onward to Srinagar are always quoted separately, since fares move with the season and with GCC school-holiday demand. Message us and we'll confirm your number within 24 hours.

Kuwait's position works in your favour here in a way it doesn't for most overseas markets: Kashmir is reachable only by air, and while there's no non-stop flight into Srinagar itself, Kuwait is one of the relatively few cities outside India with a genuine non-stop link to Delhi — under four hours in the air — which keeps the whole journey to well under a working day each way. New Delhi is also where the onward schedule into Srinagar is busiest of any Indian city, so we build every Kuwait-origin itinerary around that connection first, then work backwards to your ideal dates. More on how that plays out below.

Quick Facts — Kashmir Tour Package from Kuwait

Field Data Point
Air distance (Kuwait City–Srinagar, direct line) ~2,600 km
Direct flights Kuwait–Srinagar None currently operate; every routing connects through an Indian metro, most commonly New Delhi
Recommended connection city New Delhi — non-stop from Kuwait City on multiple carriers, plus the busiest onward schedule to Srinagar of any Indian hub
Kuwait City (KWI) → Delhi (DEL) Non-stop, roughly 3 hrs 55 min–4 hrs 25 min; flown by Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways, IndiGo and Air India, with departures most days of the week
Delhi (DEL) → Srinagar (SXR) Non-stop, roughly 1 hr 25 min–1 hr 40 min; flown by IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express, SpiceJet and Akasa Air, with well over a dozen daily departures
Alternative Kuwait-side gateway Kuwait Airways and other carriers also fly non-stop from Kuwait City to Mumbai and a handful of South Indian cities favoured by Kuwait's large Indian resident community; these work fine for a Mumbai stopover trip, but their onward connectivity into Srinagar is noticeably thinner than Delhi's, so Delhi remains the standard routing for a dedicated Kashmir trip
Total door-to-door, Kuwait to Srinagar Roughly 8–10 hours including a sensible Delhi layover — comfortably doable as a single travel day each way
Arrival airport Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport (SXR), Humhama, Badgam, Srinagar
Visa India e-Visa, applied for online before departure — Kuwait was added to India's e-Visa eligibility list in July 2025, with a tourist e-Visa option valid up to five years. Indian nationals and OCI cardholders resident in Kuwait travel on their own passport/OCI card and don't need this visa at all
Currency Indian Rupee (INR); 1 KWD ≈ ₹305–310, or roughly ₹1 ≈ 0.0033 KWD, as of September 2026, though this moves week to week
Time difference India is 2.5 hours ahead of Kuwait year-round (Kuwait doesn't observe a half-hour offset or daylight saving)
Popular destinations Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg
Offbeat destinations Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Aru Valley
Signature experiences Dal Lake Shikara ride, Gulmarg Gondola, the Mughal Gardens, Lidder River rafting, trekking, winter skiing, paragliding, a Wazwan feast, Pashmina and saffron shopping
Local taxi / pony pricing Pahalgam's taxi union sets fixed sightseeing rates for Betaab/Aru/Chandanwari — roughly ₹3,000–₹5,000 a day depending on vehicle type; these are posted, non-negotiable rates. Pony hire toward Baisaran and similar points runs roughly ₹700–₹3,700 depending on the stop, and agreeing the exact route and total fare before mounting up is worth doing every time
Gulmarg Gondola tickets Phase 1 (Gulmarg–Kongdoori) around ₹740–₹810; Phase 2 (Kongdoori–Apharwat) around ₹900–₹1,100; combined tickets run close to ₹1,800–₹1,900, subject to seasonal pricing and weather closures
Packing checklist Valid passport (6+ months validity from arrival) with your e-Visa printout or on your phone, an unlocked phone or a local India SIM/eSIM (Kuwaiti numbers don't roam usefully inside J&K), some rupees in small notes, heavy woollens for Nov–Mar or a light layer plus a rain shell for Apr/Oct
Cash and cards ATMs are reliable in Srinagar city but scarce in Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg — withdraw what you need before leaving Srinagar. Kuwaiti dinar cannot be exchanged easily in Kashmir itself; change into rupees at Delhi or Srinagar airport, or via a licensed money changer beforehand. Card payments work at larger hotels and houseboats but rarely at taxi counters or small eateries
Garden entry fees Set by the J&K Floriculture Department — roughly ₹24–₹30 per person at Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi (higher for foreign nationals, which includes Kuwaiti passport holders). The seasonal Tulip Garden (mid-March to mid-April) charges more for foreign visitors — confirm the current rate at the gate. Dal Lake and Hazratbal don't charge entry
Permits None needed for the standard Srinagar–Gulmarg–Pahalgam–Sonmarg loop. Ladakh's Inner Line Permit doesn't apply here. Gurez, close to the Line of Control, is the one J&K exception and needs prior clearance, which we can arrange
Ideal travel window Kuwait's own climate is punishingly hot for much of the year, so many of our Kuwait-based travellers time their Kashmir trip specifically to escape it — the June–August summer school break, when Kashmir sits pleasantly mild while Kuwait pushes past 45°C, is our single busiest window. April–May and September–November suit travellers after spring blossoms or autumn colour with fewer crowds, and December–February brings snow and Gulmarg's ski season
Altitude reference Srinagar 1,585 m · Gulmarg 2,650 m · Pahalgam 2,130 m · Sonmarg ~2,700–2,730 m · Doodhpathri 2,730 m · Betaab Valley 2,393 m · Aru Valley 2,414 m · Chandanwari 3,288 m · Apharwat Peak (Gondola Phase 2 top station) ~3,979 m

Getting to Kashmir from Kuwait

The Route: Why Delhi Is Still the Best Connection

Aspect Detail
Kuwait City–Delhi Non-stop, roughly 3 hrs 55 min–4 hrs 25 min; Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways, IndiGo and Air India between them fly it most days of the week
Delhi–Srinagar Non-stop, roughly 1 hr 25 min–1 hr 40 min; IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express, SpiceJet and Akasa Air between them run well over a dozen daily flights
Recommended layover at Delhi At least 3–4 hours, since Delhi's international and domestic terminals require an inter-terminal transfer plus immigration clearance; more if your flight lands in the afternoon
Total door-to-door Roughly 8–10 hours from Kuwait to Srinagar — short enough to treat as a single, unhurried travel day
Alternative hub Mumbai has a genuine non-stop Kuwait connection and can work well if you want to add a Mumbai stopover, but its onward Srinagar schedule is thinner than Delhi's
Booking tip Book both legs with a realistic buffer at Delhi — a delayed Gulf sector or a busy immigration queue can eat into a tight connection

Visa and Entry Requirements for Kuwait-Based Travellers

If you're travelling on a Kuwaiti passport, you'll need an India visa before you fly — Kuwait doesn't currently have a visa-on-arrival arrangement with India. The good news is that this got considerably easier in July 2025, when India extended its e-Visa facility to Kuwaiti nationals for the first time. Kuwaiti citizens can now apply fully online, with a tourist e-Visa option valid for up to five years (multiple entry) at a modest government fee. Processing typically takes three to four working days, biometrics are captured on arrival at the Indian airport rather than at a consulate beforehand, and the visa is valid for entry through any of India's major international airports, Delhi included.

Currency, Connectivity and Money Matters

Kuwaiti dinar isn't something you'll be able to spend or easily exchange once you're in Kashmir — plan to carry Indian rupees, changed either in Kuwait before you fly, at Delhi airport on arrival, or through a licensed money changer in Srinagar. As of September 2026, 1 Kuwaiti dinar converts to roughly ₹305–310, though this shifts week to week. On connectivity, a Kuwaiti SIM won't roam usefully inside Jammu & Kashmir — most travellers either pick up an Indian postpaid SIM or activate an international eSIM with Indian data before arrival.

Best Places to Visit on a Kashmir Trip from Kuwait

  • Srinagar and Dal Lake: This is Day 1/2 and Day 6 of our standard itinerary — arrival and your Dal Lake houseboat night both come included as standard. Kashmir's summer capital sits at about 1,585 m and centres on Dal Lake, where a houseboat night and a sunset Shikara ride tend to be the two things travellers remember most. Round it out with the Mughal Gardens and the old city's Jama Masjid. Best visited April to October.
  • Gulmarg: About 56 km from Srinagar at 2,650 m, Gulmarg is home to one of the world's highest cable car systems, climbing to Apharwat Peak at close to 3,980 m. Winter (December–February) turns it into India's premier ski destination, while summer brings one of the highest green golf courses anywhere. Pack proper warm layers regardless of season.
  • Pahalgam: Sitting on the Lidder River about 96 km from Srinagar at 2,130 m, Pahalgam has long served as the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra. It opens onto Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari, and its pony trails and pine-forest walks make it one of the more relaxed stops on a Kashmir circuit. Best April to June and September to November.
  • Sonmarg: Around 80 km from Srinagar at roughly 2,700–2,800 m, Sonmarg marks the start of the road toward Ladakh over Zoji La. Its main draw, Thajiwas Glacier, is a short pony ride or walk from the main road. The route generally stays open only from May to September before heavy snow closes it.
  • Betaab Valley: Around 15 km from Pahalgam, Betaab Valley takes its name from a Bollywood film shot there. Covered as part of the Day 4 drive in our standard itinerary. Thick pine cover and the Lidder River running through it make for an easy, photogenic stop with a modest entry fee.
  • Yusmarg: About 47 km from Srinagar in the Pir Panjal range, Yusmarg sits at roughly 2,400 m and draws a fraction of Gulmarg's or Pahalgam's crowds. Rolling meadows, the Doodh Ganga River and pony trails toward Tosa Maidan make it a good half- or full-day add-on for travellers after a quieter pace.
  • Doodhpathri: Available as an offbeat add-on, especially popular with our 7N/8D and luxury-tier travellers. Roughly 42 km from Srinagar, Doodhpathri ("Valley of Milk") sits around 2,730 m and takes its name from the milky-white streams flowing over its rocks.
  • Aru Valley: Twelve kilometres from Pahalgam at about 2,414 m, Aru Valley is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoi Glacier and the Tarsar-Marsar lakes, and its meadows also suit shorter horse rides and day hikes. Add it as an extra day to any package of 6N/7D or longer.

Things to Do on a Kashmir Tour from Kuwait

  • Shikara Ride and a Houseboat Stay: An evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake is essential, drifting past floating gardens and the floating market. Combined with a houseboat night, these are standard inclusions in every package we offer. Head out between 6 and 8 AM to catch the floating market at its busiest.
  • Ride the Gulmarg Gondola: Phase 1 is already built into every package tier. One of the highest cable car systems on earth, it continues to Apharwat Peak beyond Phase 1. On a clear day, the top station opens up views toward the Nanga Parbat range — far from Kuwait's flat desert coastline.
  • Trek Pahalgam, Aru Valley and Betaab Valley: Pahalgam is the trekking hub of the region, with trails to Aru Valley (12 km) and Betaab Valley (15 km) — both doable in a single day with a guide or pony. Guided sightseeing to these valleys is included in every package.
  • River Rafting on the Lidder: The Lidder River at Pahalgam offers grade I–II rapids — gentle enough for beginners and families. Sessions run about 20–30 minutes, best done April through September when water levels are consistent. Available as an optional add-on.
  • Ski or Snowboard in Gulmarg: From December to February, Gulmarg becomes a top winter-sports spot. For travellers from Kuwait, this is usually the single most novel part of the trip — snow is something most of our Kuwaiti guests have simply never touched before.
  • Shop for Pashmina and Saffron: Srinagar's Lal Chowk and Polo View Market are the spots for genuine Pashmina shawls, carpets, walnut carvings and saffron. Saffron from Pampore, about 16 km from Srinagar, ranks among the best in the world and packs easily in hand luggage back to Kuwait.
  • Walk the Mughal Gardens: Srinagar's terraced, fountain-lined gardens — Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi — date back to the 17th century. They're at their best in spring during tulip season and again in autumn when the chinar trees turn red and gold.
  • Camp Under the Stars in Sonmarg or Doodhpathri: Available as an add-on for travellers extending beyond our standard packages. For a slower day, camping near Sonmarg's Thajiwas Glacier or out in Doodhpathri's meadows offers clear night skies and a break from the main sightseeing route.

8-Day Kashmir Itinerary Is Ready to Book

Day 1 — Kuwait to Delhi, Onward to Srinagar

Take the morning or early-afternoon non-stop out of Kuwait City, land in Delhi around three to four hours later, and connect onward to Srinagar. Once you land in Srinagar, settle in and end the day with a relaxed sunset Shikara ride on Dal Lake.

Day 2 — Srinagar City

A morning at Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, followed by the old city and Hazratbal Shrine in the afternoon. Srinagar sits at roughly 1,585 m — a sharp, welcome change of climate for anyone arriving from Kuwait's desert heat.

Day 3 — Up to Gulmarg for the Gondola

The drive covers about 56 km and takes 1.5–2 hours. At 2,650 m, Gulmarg is likely the highest and coolest place most Kuwait-based travellers will ever have stood, so pace yourself especially if you go up to Phase 2.

Day 4 — On to Pahalgam via Betaab and Aru Valley

The drive south runs roughly 90–100 km along the Lidder River, with stops built in at Betaab Valley and Aru Valley.

Day 5 — Exploring Pahalgam

A pony ride up to Baisaran Valley — nicknamed "Mini Switzerland" — anchors the day. If you're acclimatising well, add a half-day excursion to Chandanwari, which sits above 3,200 m.

Day 6 — Back to Srinagar for a Houseboat Night

Return to a night aboard a Dal Lake houseboat. Watching the lake settle over a cup of Kahwa on deck is the standout quiet moment of most people's trip.

Day 7 — Sonmarg

Drive to Sonmarg (roughly 80 km) to see Thajiwas Glacier and Zero Point, then return to Srinagar for the night, ready for the flight home the next day.

Day 8 — Srinagar to Delhi, Onward to Kuwait

Fly out of Srinagar in good time for your Delhi connection — budget the standard domestic buffer plus extra for the terminal transfer and immigration formalities back to Kuwait City.

Kashmir Tour Package from Kuwait — FAQs

Is there a direct flight from Kuwait to Kashmir? +

No — there is no non-stop flight between Kuwait and Srinagar; every route connects through an Indian city. We build our Kuwait packages around a New Delhi connection, since Kuwait has direct flights to Delhi and Delhi has the busiest onward schedule to Srinagar.

How long does the journey take door to door? +

Roughly 8–10 hours total from Kuwait to Srinagar, factoring in the non-stop flight to Delhi (4 hours), a layover at Delhi (3–4 hours for transfer and immigration), and the Delhi–Srinagar flight (1.5 hours).

Do I need a visa? +

If you hold a Kuwaiti passport, yes — you'll need an India e-Visa applied for online before you travel. India extended e-Visa eligibility to Kuwaiti citizens in July 2025. If you're an Indian passport holder or OCI cardholder resident in Kuwait, you don't need any visa.

Will my Kuwaiti SIM work in Kashmir? +

No — Kuwaiti mobile numbers don't roam usefully inside Jammu & Kashmir. Most our Kuwait travellers buy a local postpaid SIM on arrival or set up an international eSIM with Indian data in advance.

What currency should I carry? +

Indian Rupees. Kuwaiti dinar isn't something you can spend or easily exchange inside Kashmir itself, so change money in Kuwait, at Delhi airport, or through a licensed money changer once you land.

How many days should I plan for? +

Because Kuwait is so well connected to Delhi, a 5N/6D package comfortably covers the main circuit. Add Sonmarg or offbeat stops and go 7N/8D or 8N/9D if you'd like a fuller, less rushed pace.

Can I add a Delhi stopover? +

Yes — since your itinerary routes through Delhi both ways, many of our travellers build in a day or two to see the Red Fort or Humayun's Tomb before or after the Kashmir leg.

What does a package typically cost? +

Roughly KWD 165–210 per person for 5N/6D, and KWD 245–390 for a fuller 7N/8D — land arrangements only, with flights quoted separately.

How do I book, and how does payment work? +

Call/WhatsApp us with your dates — a 30% advance confirms your booking, balance due before or on arrival. GST (~5%) applies on top of the land package.

The 7-day trip to Kashmir and Delhi (Agra) was truly an unforgettable experience. I had the opportunity to witness the breathtaking beauty of Srinagar's Dal Lake, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Pahalgam—views so stunning that even my eyes felt insufficient to capture them. Kashmir has undoubtedly become one of my most favorite destinations.

A heartfelt thank you to Kashmir Tour Provider for their excellent arrangements throughout the journey. The accommodation, transportation, and friendly drivers made the entire trip smooth, comfortable, and well-organized.

In Agra, our guide was patient, knowledgeable, and provided detailed insights into the rich history of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, which greatly enhanced our experience.

Overall, it was a beautifully planned trip, and I truly appreciate the professionalism and care shown at every step.
